Paul Klee

Paul Klee (1879 – 1940) was a Swiss born German artist and is viewed as one of the fathers of abstract artist. He was a member of the influential Der Blaue Reiter group and went on to teach with Kandinsky at The Bauhaus in Germany. Klee is recognised as having a major influence on many of the early 20th Century art movements such as surrealism, expressionism and cubism.
