The Landscape
Norman Adams (1927-2005) was one of the most significant English artists of his time. He was elected Royal Academician in 1972 and honorary member of the Royal Watercolour Society in 1987. His paintings of the Yorkshire landscape are among his finest. Simon Gilpin (born 1976) studied fine art at Bretton Hall, Wakefield and graduated in 1999. Using both traditional and unorthodox methods he paints the places where the natural and man-made environments meet.
